Xiaomi Redmi Note 4: Quick Look at the Experiential Event

Xiaomi Malaysia unveiled their successor to the Redmi Note 3, the Redmi Note 4. And earlier this week during their Experiential event, I had the chance to get a closer look and it’s time for me to give you guys a quick look and also my first impression on it.

But before we check out the Redmi Note 4, I'll just share some of my opinion on the event itself.

The Experiential event happened at Wanderlust, which is located at Solaris, Mont Kiara. And the event started at 11am. Joshua, who works for Xiaomi gave a short presentation on the Redmi Note 4 and shared about the specifications of the device and many more. Kudos to Joshua because actually helped people those who are not really into technical sorts understand the benefits and also the function of it. And right after the briefing, we had the chance to play with the phone. And we also, enjoyed the drinks that they offered at the café.

Finally, as soon as we were done playing with the device. They had a small lucky draw session where Joshua asked questions about the features and the ones who answers them, gets a prize. Pretty fun and exciting. And that was it, the event came to an end.

and Now, let’s take a quick look in their specifications.

First Impression:

Taking a look at the phone, it looks different because it feels light and small for a 5.5” device. Looks like my ideal display size has bumped up to 5.5”. Anyways, the display feels crisp and vivid, thanks to the Full HD panel on it. The camera, proximity sensor placement is at the usual spot followed by their capacitive touch buttons located at the bottom.

It carries the same Hybrid SIM tray from it’s brother. Where you can either choose to have a secondary SIM or a SD Card to expand your memory. The power button and the volume rocker feels solid. It’s clicky, tactile and responsive. Love it. And on the back we see a huge design change. This time we have this anodized metal antenna band that looks amazing. I don’t know, I really like it. And we have the camera, dual tone flash and the fingerprint sensor. At the lower bottom, we have the Mi logo.

The speakers has been moved to the bottom. So, it’s no longer at the back. It sounds pretty good. The IR Blaster and the Headphone Jack is on top.

Honestly, this phone feels premium in every way possible thanks to the choice of material they’ve used. And the internal specification is pretty much good. Because Snapdragon 625 comes with a 14nm FinFET, which is power efficient and gives you a more optimised and better performance. The little detailing on the phone like the antenna band and so on gives the Redmi Note 4 a solid feel both in hands and usage.

Not sure I’d review this but if by any chance I do get opportunity to do it, I really can’t wait to use this phone as my daily driver and give you my full review on it.

It's nice to see Xiaomi Malaysia organizing Experiential Events where fans or people who are interested can get a closer look and also try the device. Keep up the good work. And it's beautiful. :) Kudos to that as well.
