Mi Max: First Look & Impression!
Hey folks. So, earlier this week I got the chance to try out Xiaomi’s humongous device a.k.a Phablet, Mi Max. It was announced on Mi Malaysia’s Facebook page on 1st September officially. And this is my hands on and first impression on this beast. Let’s not waste any time and get right into it!
First Look:
First thing you’ll notice is the Huge 6.4” Display on the front. How huge? It’s very huge. And there’s other stuff on the front.
Above the display, you’ll find the usual. The selfie camera, Earpiece and the sensor. And below the display would be the capacitive buttons.
On the back of the device, we have the Rear facing camera and the Fingerprint sensor below the camera. You can also see that Mi logo located right at the bottom.
Moving onto the sides. To the left, we have the SIM Tray and on the right we have the volume rocker and the Power button.
On the top of the device, we have a 3.5mm Headphone Jack and also the IR Blaster. Finally, at the bottom we have the Micro USB Port and the speaker grills.
First Impression:
To be honest, this phone is very huge and very thin. I have to tell you that. Imagine holding a small book which you could use to take some nice notes and stuff, that’s exactly how you feel when you hold this piece of device.
The display is gorgeous and when it comes to a big device, the display is very important. And also it’s a 1080p (FULL HD) Display. I guess you can never go wrong with the content you watch on it. You’ll have a really nice experience. And if you noticed, this might be the first Mi series phone not to have a Mi Logo on the front. Are they ditching it or not? I am not sure about that. We have to wait for the other devices to see that...
Holding that phone to your ear when you call, make your face look small and the phone big. And when I called using the Mi Max for the first time, the quality was great! It barely dropped. And the performace was indeed snappy just for a first try.
The fingerprint sensor is located at the back of the device. It’s easy to reach and convenient too. And fast. Snappy and quick. This is my second device that I’ve tried happens to have the fingerprint sensor on the back. So yeap.
Camera and other sorts of stuff will be covered soon because I am working on a full review with this beast, so stay tuned for more and yeah. I guess that’s about it. If you want the geeky stuff about Mi Max, I’ve listed below. Haha. :)
