Asus Unveiled the Stupendous ZenFone 3 series @ Computex 2016!

Hey folks. I know, most probably you all would have heard the news from Asus itself or from other media sources. But still I am going to share too. Today, Asus had their press conference at Computex which happens every year in Taipei, Taiwan. And Asus threw in some cool stuff today.

In this post, I am going to talk about the Zenfone… Yes, an all new Zenfone 3 family. Asus, launched three variants of the Zenfone. Let’s go one by one.

Firstly, ZenFone 3 Deluxe. The world’s first Full-metal Smartphone with Invisible Antenna Design. That’s one thing to be proud about. Haha. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the flagship mobile device from the company. And it sure does have some killer specs. Let’s check it out.

As I told you, the phone is made up of an aluminum alloy unibody which is strong and light. As you see in the picture, you don’t see any antenna lines… and the phone is ridiculously thin, comes in at 4.2mm.

On the front of the device, we have a 5.7” inch FHD - 1920 X 1080 - Super AMOLED display. And this particular display has a gamut of over 100% NTSC color space. Which basically means that you’ll be getting rich & vibrant colors out of it, even under the sunlight. The bezel is very very thin. Probably the thinnest that I seen at the moment. This gives the phone more screen-to-body ratio. Which helps in maintaining the body size but increasing the screen size.

It has the latest Sony Camera sensor, the IMX318 with an awesome 23MP, f/2.0 and 4-axis OIS for a better picture quality. In producing hi-res, blur-free and low-noise photos possible. On top of that we get 3-axis EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) for shooting 4K UHD even better. Furthermore, the phone features the 2nd generation laser, phase detection or CAF (Continuous autofocus) which gives you a close to instant 0.03 second focus and subject tracking. Thanks to its exclusive PixelMaster 3.0 by Asus, it gives you stunning results.

In terms of Audio, the phone features a 5- magnet speaker & NXP smart amplifier which gives you a clear and perfect sound. It helps to protect the speaker from getting damaged. Oh and to all the audiophiles out there, you guys can enjoy your FLAC files on the Hi-Res Audio support in this device.

Now onto the technical specifications we all nerds like to hear. The deluxe is packed with Qualcomm’s stupendous flagship SoC at the moment. Which is the 820, Adreno 530 GPU and a integrated X12 LTE Modem. USB C. Here’s the shocking thing.

This phone has a bloody whooping 6GB RAM!

God… Phone these days are getting hardcore than I thought. Now on to our next device…

And yes it has a Fingerprint sensor located at the back for convenience. And its unlocks really fast.

ZenFone 3. Agility, Beauty and Clarity.

ZenFone 3 has some great specs too. It features a 5.5” FHD - 1920 X 1080 - Super IPS+ panel which will give you upto 500cd/m2 of brightness. This device has a narrow bezel, at 77.3% screen-to-body ratio for a better viewing area in that small and slim body.

Back of this phone is covered in a 2.5D Corning Gorilla glass, scratch resistant and give that curve to the back of the phone… Real smooth. Oh yeah.

Unlike the Deluxe, ZenFone 3 features a 16MP instead of a 23MP and does not have an OIS/EIS. But it has all the other goodness as the Deluxe.

And this is the world’s first smartphone to feature the all new Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. This is the the first processor from the 600 Series to have a 14nm FinFET process technology, an integrated X9 LTE modem, and a 802.11ac MU-MIMO Wi-Fi connectivity and PC-Grade graphics. Has 4GB RAM. It has a fingerprint scanner too. Located at the back.

Finally onto the beast.

ZenFone 3 Ultra. Unleashed, Unlimited and Unrivaled

This phone has a HUGE 6.8” FHD - 1920 X 1080 display. And it has a 95% NTSC color gamut for rich and vibrant color production, even under the sunlight. This is the world’s first smartphone to have Asus Tru2Life+ Video technology. According to Asus, “It harnessed a high end 4K UHD TV Grade image processor to optimize every level in each frame before its even displayed, resulting in superior contrast and clarity.” This phone is everything you want for the perfect mobile media experience as it has Hi-Res Audio support and the world’s first smartphone with virtual 7.1 Surround Sound with DTS Headphone:X.

Like the Deluxe we just saw earlier, it has a slim metal unibody chasis and yes. It does not have any antenna lines. The Body-to-screen ratio is 79%. Increases the viewing area by maintaining the overall size of the phone. And also the weight. This phone has the same 23MP Hi- Res camera with Asus TriTech autofocus system as the Deluxe.

Under the hood, we see the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652, Adreno 510, and up to 4GB RAM. This time we have the finger print sensor at the front instead of the back. It has a 4.6k mAh battery and it works as a powerbank for charging other devices. Comes in 1.5A.

All the phones above supports Quick Charge 3.0 for rapid charging times.

And yeah. Here’s my opinion on all the phones that Asus showed on the stage. ASUS is literally on Steroids. I am a huge supporter of ASUS for more than 14+ years. And never regretted using any of their products. And I really hope this phone does justice. I am pretty sure it does.

I’ll be posting something interesting on the three phones tomorrow, to make your life interesting. Haha.

The fun does not end here. Tomorrow I will be posting about the dream Windows machines of my life by ASUS. So stay tuned and I’ll catch you guys tomorrow. In case you’re reading this on 31st, then I guess I’ll see you all later.
